KING CHARLES III CORONATION
On Saturday, On May 6, 2023, King Charles will travel in the Gold State Coach from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey. First, the King will take his oath. Then, he will be anointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury. and will receive the royal regalia; an orb and sceptre as well as St. Edward’s Crown. The King now enthroned will travel, with the Royal family back to the palace for the traditional balcony wave. In Canada, as well as all the other countries that comprise the British Commonwealth of Nations, will also celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, The Coronation will remind us all of the the continuity and stability that this historic relationship provides.
THE MUSEUM The Niagara Military Museum will honour this historic event with a canon and musket salute fired from the grounds of Navy Hall, Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. The time of the salute has yet to be determined but it is anticipated to be around midday. After the salute visitor will be in invite into Navy Hall for light snacks an refreshments.
